WHAT’S BETTER — GRANITE OR QUARTZ?

Here are some quick answers in regard to Granite and Quartz…

WHAT IS GRANITE?
Granite is a natural stone that is quarried from the earth.

WHAT IS QUARTZ?
Quartz is manufactured and comprised of crushed quartzite mixed with resin.

WILL GRANITE AND QUARTZ MATCH STORE SAMPLES?
Granite may vary while Quartz will more closely match the sample selected.

WHAT’S STRONGER — GRANITE OR QUARTZ?
Dense granite is often very strong while less dense granite is weaker. Quartz is generally stronger than most granites. Both can break.

DOES GRANITE OR QUARTZ NEED TO BE SEALED?
Granite absolutely and quartz not so much. Best to seal both.

WILL COUNTERTOPS HAVE SEAMS WHEN INSTALLED?
Both have seams with granite seams being somewhat more visible.

WHAT’S ADDS MORE VALUE TO MY HOME — GRANITE OR QUARTZ?
That depends on the buyer. Some people choose granite over quartz and vice versa.
