Here are a few tips for giving your home a bit more appeal from the curb as well as inside to guests or even prospective buyers.

    KITCHEN OR BATHROOM REPLACEMENT

Replace worn out, dated, or damaged kitchen and bathroom cabinets, faucets, sinks, vanities, countertops, and hardware.

Builder Supply Outlet carries all the top, name brand cabinets, vanities, countertops, and hardware.  For a complete listing, click here.

At the Edge Kitchen and Bath, you can schedule a FREE appointment with one of our Kitchen and Bath Designers (in Broadview) by clicking here.

    REPLACE SIDING

No matter what — whether your siding is wood, brick, or vinyl, make sure to paint it or power wash it to give your home extra curb appeal.

    PLANT FLOWERS AND PLANTS

Add some glazed pots on the front porch or on your front steps.  During winter, add small evergreens or cold-hearty plants.

    CHANGE/ADD LIGHTS

Change burned out bulbs throughout your home with warmer incandescent bulbs.

    NO MORE CLUTTER

Removing clutter automatically makes your home feel bigger and gives you extra room.

    REPAIR ROOF

Replace missing shingles, or if necessary replace the entire roof with one more appealing, longer lasting, and more functional.

    REPLACE GROUT/REPAINT

Feel free to re-caulk and even paint bathroom surfaces to make the room look new and clean.  Replace grout or recolor stained all stained grout.

    PATCH WALLS AND TRIM

Immediately repair all holes in your walls and cracks in any window trim and baseboards.

    CLEAN CARPETING

Deep clean all your carpets so they look and smell good.  Any smell in a carpet is an instant turn off.  Replace all stained carpeting.

    PAINT

Make sure each of your smaller rooms is painted white from top to bottom.  The neutral palette will help any possible buyer view the room as larger.

Also make sure to paint the front door for extra curb appeal!

    LANDSCAPE

Your front yard is the billboard for your home.  It’s the central piece to the home’s exterior.  Add new shrubbery & plants, power wash your garage door, and make sure all window coverings match and are in good shape.  Make sure the grass is bright green and mowed and manicured.
